As the Art Director for Tempo Magazine at Coastal Carolina University I was able to work closely with and lead a team of writers, photographers and other designers to produce a bi-yearly publication that is distributed on campus and in the community. The objective of the magazine is to provide material that college students find intriguing and entertaining. The designs err on the modern side while maintaining a sense of excitement and youthfulness.

The Athenaeum Press at Coastal Carolina University commissioned a product about the surrounding, South Carolina Gullah Culture, in which I had the opportunity to be the lead designer. The goal was to create a product that would celebrate the Gullah people, their unique lifestyle and music. Ultimately the end product was a boxed CD set that incorporates original recordings of Gullah songs, by people living on St. Helena Island, SC. The set also includes a booklet that outlines parts of the culture as well as the artists featured on the CD. The set features an earthy aesthetic as well as a hand stamped box.

The Cottages at Jekyll Island is a single family housing development that is being built on Jekyll Island in Georgia. As the first development in the area in close to fifty years, the developer asked for an identity that was both representative of the island and elegant/classy in design. Jekyll Island is known for its beach atmosphere and marine life, sea turtles in particular. Using that as inspiration, the final product is an abstraction of a sea turtle that incorporates clean lines and a simple design, portraying elegance as well as a tranquil beach energy.

I was honored to design the wedding invitiations and programs for a couple very close to my heart, Kelly and Michael Geddes. Their wedding colors consisted of navy blue with lime green accents. With the wedding taking place on the hills of an old southern farm, I wanted to envoke a sense elegance while maintaining the "kick your shoes off and stay a while" southern charm that the location expressed.

Myrtle Beach Sports Center, one of Myrtle Beach’s newest attractions,is a 100,000 square foot state-of-the-art indoor sports facility, designed to host court sports, wrestling, gymnastics, table tennis, pickle ball, and other sports events as well as trade shows. Designed while working at T2H Advertising, this website is meant to showcase the venue’s amenities, provide a schedule of upcoming events, as well as allow visitors to view images of past events and find other attractions in the city. The goal for this website was to produce a design that is fun and energetic, going hand in hand with sporting evens and competitions, while being representative of its beach location as well.
